It's been a busy couple of months since we were together at Christmas.
I started looking at houses again at the end of January. Ironically, I found a house on my first trip out with my realtor after a few weeks off. All of the negotiations have been completed and now I am in the financing stage. We asked for an extension on the financing and closing date because the inspection negotiations took a couple weeks. Hopefully the financing can get done in 2 weeks, because the newly requested closing date is March 21st.

I figure I will do a couple things in the house (possibly another protective coat on the floors, some painting, etc) and then move sometime in the first part of April, if the closing remains the same. Hopefully my apt people can find someone to rent my apt starting May 1, so I don't have to pay for May rent.
I'm also busy with Wright Plus preparations. I'm House Operations Co-Chair again this year, so I have been going to house visits for the last 5 weeks every weekend. The houses are amazing this year (as they are every year)! It's so nice to know that in just 10-11 weeks it will be a beautiful spring weekend - enjoying Wright Plus!

Glad to hear the house project is going so well, Erin. Sounds like you will soon have it finished up.Wright Plus sounds like another BIG project!
ReplyDeleteJust thought I would take this means to tell everyone that Grandpa had his other eye done this morning and it seems to be going well.We didn't have to be there until 8:55 this morning and we were home before 12:30, even with a stop at Hardees. Now it is just put in the drops and keep track of that. Still dropping the first eye until next Thursday, so it gets complicated.
