It's 9:30 on Halloween and mommy has a sugar rush!! :) Andrew brought home the loot--wowzers. His costume: a super-hero of the homemade variety. Cape: made by Mike's mom; mask: made by Mike from blue painters tape. His joke: "What do you call a witch who lives at the beach?" A sand-witch! He had a blast and did a great job telling his joke.
In other weekend news, my kitchen knows for sure it is fall. I made my first big pot of soup yesterday afternoon, baked a loaf of peanut butter bread, and then roasted pumpkin seeds from the pumpkins we carved earlier yesterday. Oh, and Andrew wanted to carve an I for Iowa into on of the pumpkins. Appropriate after the big win yesterday!
